An employee with Municipal Utilities reported at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, someone tampered with the electric service meter of a residence in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue to steal services.

Mark Hall, 60, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at his residence in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue. Hall was booked on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense and lodged in the Butler County jail.

A tan 2006 Pontiac Torrent was towed from a traffic stop at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, after it was determined the vehicle displayed a stolen license plate and had no insurance, and the driver had a revoked license. The driver was released at the scene.

Donna Zitnak complained at 1:11 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, neighbors in the 600 block of Arthur Street had harassed and threatened her husband.

An employee at Schenewerks’ U-Haul reported at 1:21 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, a trailer had been stolen from the lot in the 2200 block of South Westwood Boulevard.

Officers responded at 1:38 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, with EMS to an unconscious male lying in the sidewalk on South 5th Street. The victim was severely intoxicated and suffered a laceration to his forehead from falling down. He was taken by ambulance to the emergency room.

Skyler Jones, 30, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 3:21 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Save A Lot at 451 Highway 53. Jones was booked on a charge of stealing and she was released on a criminal summons.

The National Instant Background Check System (NICS) reported at 3:46 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, a firearm transfer was denied at Dunham’s Sporting Goods because the buyer was prohibited from buying a firearm.

Jim Chrisman reported at 3:09 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, someone damaged windows and gutters at the train depot at 400 S. Main St.

Freeman Williams, 39, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the 2200 block of South Broadway. Williams was booked on a charge of third-degree domestic assault and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Sarah Cook reported at 8:12 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, her silver 2008 Nissan Altima was stolen from her driveway in the 1200 block of Maud Street. The vehicle was later recovered from a residence in the 800 block of West Davis Street.

A juvenile male reported at 12:38 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, his aunt’s silver 2018 Chevrolet Impala was stolen from the parking lot at Mike’s Resale at 1015 E. Harper St. by a juvenile male acquaintance. The stolen vehicle was later recovered at a residence in the 1200 block of Maud Street, and the juvenile suspect was arrested. The juvenile suspect was taken to the police department and was released to the Juvenile Office.
