Six teenagers were injured in a one-vehicle accident at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, on County Road 280, one-mile southeast of Gideon.
According to the report, a 16-year-old female from Tallapoosa was operating a 2015 Ford Fusion eastbound when it struck an embankment and overturned.
The driver and four of her passengers, a 14-year-old girl from Gideon, a 15-year-old girl from Malden and two 16-year-old girls from Gideon, sustained minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals by private vehicle.
A 17-year-old girl from Gideon sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

Romero V. Slavings, 23, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 5:13 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, in Stoddard County on suspicion of DWI (drugs), speeding and no seat belt. He was released.

Brian L. Bradley, 34, of Troy was arrested at 7:05 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Dunklin County on a felony Dunklin County warrant for dangerous drugs. He was booked at the Dunklin County jail.

Darin D. Doser, 52, of Fairdealing was arrested at 2:49 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Ripley County on suspicion of DWI (alcohol), no proof of insurance, failure to drive on the right side of the road and no seat belt. He was released.

A 74-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, on U.S. Highway 60, three miles east of Essex.
According to the report, Shirley J. Clark, 78, of Essex was operating a 2019 GMC Savana northbound when it pulled into the path of a westbound 2012 Nissan Frontier operated by Thelma S. Gilbert, 75, of Poplar Bluff.
A passenger in the Frontier, Jimmy L. Gilbert, 74, of Poplar Bluff, was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 29-year-old man sustained moderate injuries in a three-vehicle accident at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, on U.S. Highway 67, two miles south of Neelyville.
According to the report, Christopher C. Nelson, 29, of Longview, Texas, was operating a 2011 Dodge Ram southbound when it struck the rear of a southbound 2012 Buick LaCrosse operated by Holly K. Maher, 43, of Faulkner, Arkansas. Nelson’s Ram ran off the road and then struck an eastbound 2023 Peterbilt operated by Frantz-Ley Guerrier, 45, of Dallas, Georgia.
Nelson was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

A 70-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 7:13 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the intersection of Highway 21 and Highway O.
According to the report, Bonnie L. Norman, 70, of Grandin was operating a 2015 GMC Sierra eastbound when it went off the right side of the road.
Norman was transported by East Carter EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

An employee of the Poplar Bluff school district reported at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, someone cut a fence to the maintenance facility property and stole welding equipment.

Officers responded at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, to a residence in the 2200 block of Mangold Street for a medical emergency. Michael Riggs said Rebecca Riggs flourished a knife during an argument at the residence, according to police reports. The two fought over the knife and Michael Riggs sustained a laceration to his arm. Michael Riggs was taken by ambulance to the emergency room for treatment. Rebecca Riggs, 57, was arrested without incident and booked on charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. She was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Barry Tucker reported at 11:53 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, a pistol was missing after he moved out of a camper he rented in the 800 block of Park Street.

Amber Abbott, 31, of Poplar Bluff and Joshua McIrvin, 23, of Poplar Bluff were arrested at 1:29 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in the 100 block of West Pine Street. Abbott was booked on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on trespassing. Abbott was unable to post bond but she was released on her own recognizance.
McIrvin was booked on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on property damage, a Probation and Parole warrant for probation violation and a Butler County warrant for probation violation. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Officers accompanied a Missouri Children’s Division caseworker at 4:23 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, to a residence in the 1200 block of North Main Street in response to a child abuse/neglect hotline report at the address.

Officers investigated at 6:19 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, a report of veiled threats of violence posted to a Poplar Bluff High School Snapchat group. The student who posted the messages was identified, and their parent was contacted. They determined the student did not have immediate access to a firearm, and the parent agreed to take additional precautions. School administrators were notified, and the matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Eric Matlock, 52, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 6:27 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at his residence in the 300 block of North Fifth Street. Matlock was booked on charges of fourth-degree assault, property damage, resisting arrest, and a Butler County warrant for assault. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.
