Matthew A. Benton, 30, of Ellington was arrested at 2:04 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in Reynolds County on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and driving while revoked (second or third offense). He was booked at the Reynolds County jail on a 24-hour hold.

A 27-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 6:38 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, on Interstate 55 at mile marker 58.6 in New Madrid County.
According to the report, Sydney D. Young, 27, of Dexter was operating a 2011 Ford Explorer northbound when it ran off the road and struck a cable barrier.
Young was taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Rebecca E. Wren, 24, of Dexter was arrested at 12:16 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in Scott County on suspicion of misdemeanor DWI (alcohol) and failure to drive on the right side of the road. She was released.

A 44-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 8 a.m. Friday Nov. 10, on Highway AA, one mile east of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, Tonya M. Lucas, 44, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2019 Kia Stinger northbound when it began overtaking a northbound 2013 Toyota Corolla operated by Pamela J. Tyler, 61, of Poplar Bluff. Tyler turned left, resulting in the two vehicles colliding.
Lucas was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Alisha Keirns, 22, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 7:17 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the police department on a Poplar Bluff Municipal warrant for failure to appear on shoplifting. Keirns was unable to post bond but she was released on her own recognizance.

Michael Ward reported at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, cash was stolen from his truck while it was parked at Southeast Rehabilitation at 686 Lester Street.

Sharon Passley reported at 10:59 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, prescription medication was stolen from her residence in the 2200 block of Ruth Drive.

Hailey Williams reported at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, an adult male knocked on the front door of her residence in the 700 block of North D Street. Williams did not know the white male and refused to open the door. The white male grew angry and broke two windows with a baseball bat. After breaking the windows, the suspect left in a white pickup.

An employee at Poplar Bluff Junior High school reported at 1:01 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, a THC vaping device was seized from a juvenile student. The student was released to a parent and the matter was referred to the juvenile office.

Breandrea Hampton reported at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, Mikayla Leutert, 30, of Poplar Bluff assaulted her inside the Poplar Bluff Middle School gymnasium. Leutert was issued a summons for assault and released at the scene.

Kristen Jones reported at 7:44 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, she went to a storage unit at Poplar Bluff Mini Storage at 251 Highway 53 to change clothes and charge her cell phone. An adult female acquaintance living in the unit told her to leave and pushed her to the ground. The suspect left the scene before the police were called.
