Stephen Quick

Stephen Floyd Quick, 61, of Puxico, Missouri, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Mr. Quick was born June 9, 1962, in Dexter, Missouri, son of the late Millie and Luetta Quick. He had worked as bricklayer over the years for Rusty Tanner, Larry Hanner, and Mike Owens. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed playing pool.

Stephen is survived by his two children: Tabitha and Makenzie Quick, and their mother, Ruthie Quick, all of Wappapello, Missouri; one brother: Larry Lizenbee of Puxico; and his beloved dog, Athena.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters: Teresa Powell and Janet Autry.

In a final act of service, Stephen made the selfless choice to donate his body to science. There are no services scheduled at this time.
