PUXICO — The Mingo National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center is announcing special fall hours during September through November.
Expanded visitor center days provide more public opportunities to explore nature and the visitor center during fall migration, officials said in a press release. During the month of September, the visitor center will be open Wednesday through Friday. From Oct. 4-Nov. 4, the visitor center will be open Wednesday through Saturday.
The visitor center will resume Wednesday through Friday operation except federal holidays from Nov. 8-Dec. 1. The visitor center hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Visitors are encouraged to explore other attractions at Mingo including the 17-mile Ozark Highlands Auto Tour, Swampwalk Nature trail or wildlife and fall colors viewing opportunities.
