Michaela Hale, 25, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, on Spring Street. Hale was booked on a Probation and Parole warrant for probation violation and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Rodney Sparkman, 49, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, in the 1800 block of South Broadway. Sparkman was booked on charges of first-degree making terroristic threats, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Brandon Newton reported at 2:16 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, he received a bad check from a person he knew only as Scott.

A tablet was turned in to the police departmentat 3:13 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, by a resident in the 900 block of Pershing Street. Efforts to locate the owner failed and the tablet was placed into evidence.

An employee at Three Rivers College reported at 3:54 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, a forged check drawn on the college’s checking account was passed.

Rebecca Stasiak reported at 6:39 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, her EBT card was stolen and used to make an unauthorized purchase at Huck’s.

Lillian Canania, 19, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, on the parking lot at Allen’s Muffler at 1901 S. Broadway. Canania was booked on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on a traffic offense and peace disturbance. Canania was unable to post bond but she was released on her own recognizance.

Billie Barrett, 41, of Poplar Bluff was booked at 10:18 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear for no insurance. Barrett was unable to post bond but she was released on her own recognizance.
