A silver 2010 Ford Fusion was impounded at 12:40 p.m. Friday, July 28, and towed from a traffic stop on Highway PP after it was determined the registration was expired and the vehicle was not insured. The driver, Nathaniel Sansoucie, was issued traffic citations and released at the scene.

A red 1999 GMC pickup was stolen at 2:21 p.m. Friday, July 28, from a residence in the 400 block of North Main Street. The truck was found abandoned at the Juvenile Office at 614 Lindsay St. The steering column and ignition were damaged, so the vehicle was towed from the scene.

An adult male was banned from Rally’s on 1324 N. Westwood Blvd. at 4:50 p.m. Friday, July 28, after a domestic disturbance at the restaurant.

Allen Martin reported at 6:46 p.m. Friday, July 28, his wife hit him in the face with a brush at their residence in the 300 block of Midland Street. The suspect left the scene before the police were called, and Martin did not want to press charges.

Officers investigated a complaint of child abuse at 4:12 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at a residence in the 1200 block of West Harper Street. The investigation determined the report was unfounded, and the matter was referred to the Missouri Children’s Division hotline.

Julis Hightower, 48, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:38 p.m. Saturday, July 29, during a traffic stop on North Main Street. Hightower was booked on a Dunklin County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of no renewal tab on license plate, and was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Zachary Davies, 24, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:34 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Walmart Supercenter at 333 S. Westwood Blvd. Davies was booked on charges of stealing and possession of amphetamine, and a St. Louis County warrant for dangerous drugs. He was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Kay Crumpton, 36, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:20 a.m. Sunday, July 30, during a traffic stop on North Harper Street. Crumpton was booked on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense. Crumpton was unable to post bond and she was released on her own recognizance.

A white 2012 Ford Fusion was towed at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 30, from the parking lot of the Eagles Lodge at 1400 South Broadway. The vehicle had been abandoned on the lot for 48 hours and efforts to contact the owner failed.

Alecia Zahlen, 35, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at a residence in the 400 block of Hazel Street. Zahlen was booked in on a charge of first-degree burglary and lodged in the Butler County jail.

Matthew Davidson reported at 11:39 p.m. Sunday, July 30, his wife Jeri Davidson struck him during an argument at their residence in the 2300 block of Kentucky Avenue. The suspect left the scene before the police were called.

Officers responded at 2:44 a.m. Monday, July 31, to a residence in the 700 block of Davis Street for a domestic disturbance. The parties separated, and no injury was reported.
