Pedestrian in serious condition after being hit on Highway 142
A 35-year-old Naylor women is in serious condition after being hit about 10 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 142 three miles south of Poplar Bluff. Jones was transported by Emergency Medical Services personnel to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. According to Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper J.D. Conover’s report, pedestrian Samantha Jones was crossing the road when she ran into the path of 2008 Dodge Avenger driven by Richard E. Towns, 52, of Poplar Bluff.
