Jesse Birmingham

Jesse L. Birmingham, 79, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 at the Greenville Healthcare Center in Greenville.

He was born July 26, 1943 in Pascola, Missouri, the son of W.D. Birmingham and Juanita (Fields) Birmingham. Jesse was a Vietnam veteran, serving for five years in the U.S. Army. He was an auto dealer and worked as a ring man in auto auctions.

Jesse was married to Beverly Shell April 16, 1963 and was a long time resident of Greenville.

Preceding him in death are his parents, W.D. and Juanita Birmingham; one daughter, Myra Jean Lee; and one sister, Erlene Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Beverly Birmingham of the home; three sons, Wayne Birmingham and his wife, Pam, of Greenville, Craig Birmingham and his wife, April, of Greenville, Cody Birmingham of Cape Girardeau, and one sister, Pat Birmingham of Greenville.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Jesse Spruell, Levi Birmingham and his wife Tiffany, Austin Birmingham and his wife, Hannah, Jessica Birmingham, four great-grandchildren, Kailee, Eryn, Oliviah and Aubrey, as well as many other family and friends, especially his travel companions, Susie and Rufus.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Greenville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Interment with full military honors will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
