In my opinion, Hunter Biden received lenient consequences for the federal tax and gun charges brought against him. According to a plea deal, he will admit guilt to misdemeanor tax offenses and avoid prosecution for the gun charge, on the condition that he complies with court requirements. Undoubtedly, President Biden’s son must be grateful for this arrangement, which spares him from imprisonment, particularly considering the apparent strong evidence that could have led to a 10-year sentence for the gun charge.
In contrast, Democrats have persistently targeted former President Donald Trump, continually pursuing prosecution on any potential charges against him. Their opposition to his pro-American policies has resulted in numerous investigations that have failed to produce any evidence of wrongdoing. Furthermore, these investigations themselves have been marred by allegations of corruption. For example, in the case of the Russian Collusion investigation, a probe conducted by Special Investigator John Durham into the FBI’s inquiry revealed significant flaws in the investigation’s initiation and serious errors in the FBI’s application to wiretap former Trump campaign aide Carter Page. Just recently, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to censure Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff for misleading the American public regarding potential ties between the Trump campaign and Russia, despite other investigations not finding conclusive evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia in the interference of the 2016 presidential election.
Regarding the documents case filed in Florida, I maintain that numerous presidents and vice presidents have been found with similar paperwork but have not faced any charges. This continued pattern of unfounded investigations against Trump is evident. People are understandably frustrated with the ongoing investigations when he has not been proven guilty. The notion of pursuing any charges for a political figure based on such issues is reminiscent of tactics employed by dictatorships in third-world countries.
With regard to Hunter Biden, regrettably the president’s son has not been subjected to the same treatment as most offenders of the laws for which he has pleaded guilty. Furthermore, it is disconcerting that Hunter Biden is at the center of a series of suspicious corruption allegations. During his father’s vice presidency, he received substantial payments from foreign entities.
Hunter engaged in business dealings with entities associated with the Chinese Communist Party and distributed funds among numerous companies, with multiple family members benefiting from these transactions. His appointment to the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, despite his lack of relevant expertise, seemingly aimed to influence his father.
The head of Burisma is alleged to have attempted to bribe the Biden family. It is alarming that the announcement of this favorable agreement coincides with reports about the FBI possessing documents containing taped conversations related to the bribery allegations. American citizens should be outraged by this preferential treatment.
The most concerning aspect of this situation is how the Department of Justice appears to be shielding the President. If such allegations were made against anyone else, the Department of Justice would leverage them as a means to uncover the alleged wrongdoings of the family. Any other individual would be pressed to disclose all details regarding their questionable transactions.
Hunter Biden has received preferential treatment that ordinary Americans would never experience. Even more troubling is the lack of interest displayed by federal investigators in unraveling the corruption allegations surrounding the Biden family.
If the president genuinely cared about impartial justice administration, this situation would not be unfolding. However, it appears that in an administration committed to protecting the president’s son and suppressing this case, similar to how media allies suppressed the Hunter laptop story in 2020, justice seems to be the least of their concerns.
May God bless and keep you and our great nation.
