Terry Richardson and his wife Leslie had a vision for Poplar Bluff. They wanted to create a ministry that would help serve other ministries in the area.

“My wife and I started a ministry several years ago called Revival River Ministries,” Richardson said during an interview Friday evening. “Our ministry is just to help other ministries.”

Their event on Friday evening drew several different ministries such as Shepherd Fold Ministry, Christway Ministries, and Recycling Grace Ministries. More than 50 volunteers stood in the The Square in Downtown Poplar Bluff adjacent to the Rodger’s Theatre holding signs of encouragement.

Signs like “Honk for Jesus,” “Jesus Saves,” and “Prayer Stop” offered motorists free food and prayer if they needed assistance.

“It’s about coming to just praise the Lord and worship the Lord,” Richardson said. “We are just here to promote our Lord Jesus Christ. That’s why we are here, for a little food for people, a little bit of fellowship.”

Richardson mentioned testimonials during Friday’s planned exercise as well.

“We have not picked anybody out. They get just called out in the crowd and it what it is,” Richardson said. “But we’re just really here to have fun in the Lord.”
