Thomas Hoon

Thomas Edward Hoon died unexpectedly Feb. 13, 2023.

Thomas is survived by his two children, Justin Hoon and Kaitlyn Hoon; his mother, Twila Ray Ogden; his brother, William Hoon; and sister, Twila Ann Hoon Witz. He was predeceased by his father and grandparents.

Thomas was born in Corona, California, Nov. 30, 1964 to William Joseph Hoon and Twila Ray Hoon. Thomas graduated from high school in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and over the course of his life worked in manufacturing and construction that included woodworking, carpentry, and landscaping.

From a young age, he was independent, loved being in nature and greatly enjoyed staying busy whether working for himself or helping neighbors. Over the years, he built or refurbished many pieces of furniture and remodeled dwellings for himself, family and friends. Anyone who knew Thomas knew that he’d lend a hand when needed and that he wasn’t afraid of hard work.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
