__Poplar Bluff Police Department__
An adult male reported at 8:44 a.m. on Feb. 2, his girlfriend slashed him several times with a knife at their residence in the 1700 block of Sanders Street. EMS treated his injuries and this matter was referred to the Butler County Prosecutor.

Benessa Gross, 41, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 12:44 p.m. Feb. 2, at Smokin’ Aces at 515 Hwy 53. Gross was booked in on a Butler County warrant for probation violation. A $20,000 cash only bond was set and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

An employee at the Winning Circle gaming room at 120 N. 10th St reported at 2:28 p.m. Feb. 2, a patron used an electronic device to manipulate a gaming machine to print winning vouchers. The patron presented one voucher and was given $365, then presented two additional vouchers which the employee refused to redeem. The suspect left before the police were notified.

Rolondia Dyson reported at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 2, she was assaulted by an adult female acquaintance on the parking lot of the Internet Cafe at 30 Hwy 142.

Roberta Collins reported at 4:31 p.m. Feb. 2, her purse was stolen by an unidentified passenger who was riding with her in a friend’s vehicle.

Jaden Longhibler reported at 5:05 p.m. Feb. 2, that her car was struck while it was parked in the 800 block of Apple Street.

James Abbott, 29, of Williamsville, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. Feb. 2, during a traffic stop on West Pine Street. Abbott was booked in on a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on a non-moving traffic violation with a $500 bond and he ws lodged in the Butler County jail.

Doyle Starkey reported at 5:50 a.m. Feb. 3, someone stole his red Chevrolet Cobalt from the parking lot at Huck’s Convenience Store at 703 N. Westwood Blvd.
