An employee at O’Neal Elementary School reported at 9:47 a.m. March 9, a juvenile student assaulted a teacher in a classroom; then assaulted staff and created a disturbance in the school office. The matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Bobby Bryant reported at 9:59 a.m. March 9, tools were stolen from his property in the 800 block of North Main Street.

An employee at Poplar Bluff High School reported at 10:52 a.m. March 9, a THC vaping device was seized from a juvenile student. The device was seized and the matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

An employee at Poplar Bluff Middle School reported at 11:56 a.m. March 9, a juvenile student made a veiled threat of violence to students in a classroom. The matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

An employee at Poplar Bluff High School reported at 2:40 pm a two THC vaping devices were seized from a juvenile student on a school bus on the way to school. The vaping devices were seized and the matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Courtney Boyds, 33, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. March 9, at the probation/parole Community Supervision Center at 1441 Black River Industrial Park Road. Boyds was booked in on a warrant for parole violation with no bond and he was lodged in the Butler County Jail.

Hanna McDonald reported at 7:24 p.m. March 9, a former renter had trespassed on a property in the 1300 block of West Maud St.

Eva Moore reported at 7:27 p.m. March 9, her juvenile child assaulted her at their residence in the 1100 block of Bradley St. The matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Clarence Williams, 61, of Poplar Bluff, and Shelby Quillman, 31, of Poplar Bluff, were arrested at 10:45 p.m. March 9, during a traffic stop on Relief Street. Williams was booked in on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a firearm and he was lodged in the Butler County jail. Quillman was booked in on a Poplar Bluff municipal warrant for failure to appear on charges of stealing with a $100 bond and a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on charges of burglary with a $50,000 bond, and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Jerry Wyatt reported at 9:14 a.m. March 9, someone broke into Wyatt’s Auto Sales at 420 Hwy 53 at 3 a.m. Wyatt was at the business and confronted the suspect, and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Richard Russell, 40, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested during the investigation of a single vehicle accident in the 1900 block of South Broadway. Russell was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical for treatment and the matter was referred to the Butler County Prosecutor.

An employee at Shoe Carnival at 3015 Oak Grove Road reported at 3:27 p.m. March 10 they found a meth pipe in a pair of shoes returned by a customer. The pipe was seized and destroyed.

Rhonda Smith, 45, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 9:59 p.m. March 10, at the Marked Bar and Grill at 3339 S. Westwood Blvd. Smith was booked in on a charge of violation of a protection order and she was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Alana Ross-McDonald, 23, of Poplar Bluff and Randy Vincent, 33, of Clarkton were arrested at 12:33 a.m. March 10 during a traffic stop on Hwy 53. Ross-McDonald was booked in on Poplar Bluff Municipal warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense with a $100 bond and a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on charges of aggravated assault with a $5,000 bond. Vincent was booked in on a Butler County warrant for a traffic offense with a $500 bond and a Malden municipal warrant for failure to appear on a traffic offense with a $300 cash only bond. Both were lodged in the Butler County jail.

Lanny Burke reported at 4:45 p.m. March 10, his car was struck by pellets from an air gun as he drove through the 1100 block of West Maud Street. Juveniles in the residence the shots were fired from were contacted and identified, and the air rifle was seized. The matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Serena Barnes, 52, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested during a traffic stop on West Harper Street. Barnes was booked in on charges of possession of a controlled substance, felony resisting arrest, and Butler County warrants for failure to appear on dangerous drugs with a $25,000 cash only bond.She was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Arning Ross, 53, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 12:43 a.m. March 10, during a traffic stop on Harper Street. Ross was booked in on Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on charges of traffic violations with a $1,250 bond. Ross was unable to post bond and he was released on his own recognizance.
