Poplar Bluff Police Department Crystal Morandi, 41, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 7:58 a.m. Jan. 18, on North Main Street. Crystal Morandi, 41, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 7:58 a.m. Jan. 18, on North Main Street. Morandi was booked in on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on tampering with property, and Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on charges of stealing, trespassing, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Morandi was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Jason Vogler, 42, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 8:14 a.m. on Jan. 18, at a residence in the 2300 block of Kentucky Avenue when he was caught in the act of burglarizing a building. At the time of his arrest, a Ring doorbell camera taken from a separate residence was found on his person.

Vogler was booked in on charges of second degree burglary, stealing and property damage, and he was lodged in the Butler County jail. Vogler was also identified as the suspect in recent thefts from Academy Sports.

Branden Rice, 37, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 11:46 a.m. Jan. 18, on outstanding felony warrants at his residence in the 500 block of Nickey Street. Rice was transferred to the custody of a Butler County deputy at the scene.

John Case reported at 12:48 p.m. Jan. 18, someone shot a window of his residence in the 800 block of South 9th St with a BB gun.

James Taylor, 36, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 12:34 p.m. Jan 18, during a traffic stop on West Pine St. Taylor was booked in on a Butler County warrant for probation violation with a $20,000 cash only bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Jennifer House reported at 1:44 p.m. Jan. 18, someone used her debit card for an unauthorized purchase at a local business.

Jessica Powers reported at 2:25 p.m. Jan 18, several fraudulent charges to her debit card.

An adult female reported at 2:39 p.m. Jan. 18, her vehicle was damaged by an adult female acquaintance while it was parked at her residence in the 500 block of West Midland. The suspect was contacted, and reported that she damaged the vehicle on Midland Street after the victim damaged her vehicle while it was parked at a residence in the 2300 block of Arkansas Street. This investigation continues.

James Plumb reported at 4:24 p.m. Jan. 18, he received harassing text messages from an acquaintance in violation of a protection order.

Terrance Fields, 28, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 5:12 p.m. Jan. 18, at Home Depot at 639 S. Westwood Blvd. Fields was booked in on a charge of stealing and Poplar Bluff municipal warrants for failure to appear on shoplifting and traffic violations with a $300 bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Douglas Gatewood, 59, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Jan 19, on West Pine Street. Gatewood was booked in on a Butler County warrant for dangerous drugs with a $15,000 bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Walter Painter, 32, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 2:46 a.m. Jan. 19, during a traffic stop on Fifth Street. Painter was booked in on a Wayne County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of violation of a protection order with a $1,000 cash only bond and he was lodged in the Butler County jail.
