The Poplar Bluff Municipal Library held its first-ever Lego Challenge on Tuesday, giving visitors a chance to try their hands at becoming a master builder.
According to librarian Connie Roberson, the library plans to hold this event again in March, when many students and youngsters will be out of school for spring break.
“This summer, we are looking at doing one day a week of Lego Challenges,” explained Roberson.
The schedule for the summer reading program has not been finalized yet, but Roberson said it should be available before the end of February. Along with the Lego Challenge, the library will offer story times in March and the Poplar Bluff Stage Company will also visit to give youngsters a sneak peek into the characters of Judy Moody.
Roberson said, “We will still have Marty the Magician and we will still have snakes, but we will have some more things too, we have lots of fun things planned for the summer.”
The March Lego Challenge is scheduled to be held from 1-4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at the Ridgel Branch located at 3398 Kanell. For more information on events and library hours, visit their website at www.poplarbluff.org.
