Marchenko Simpson, 30, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested at 12:46 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 4, in the 1600 block of Sanders Street on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending further investigation.

William Luke, 29, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, on North Main Street on a Butler County warrant for obstructing police. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

A blue Ford pickup was found at 3:33 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, blocking the roadway in the 900 block of Cole Street. Efforts to contact the owner failed, and the truck was impounded and towed. A stolen U-Haul car dolly was found at a residence in the same area and it was released to an employee at Schenewerk’s U-Haul at the scene.

Heather Elsworth, 38, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at her residence in the 1700 block of West Maud Street and booked on a Poplar Bluff Municipal warrant for failure to appear on driving while suspended or revoked. Elsworth was unable to post bond and she was released on her own recognizance.
