Shirley Robinson was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Paragould, Arkansas, to Aaron and Jane (Masters) Hyde. She married Verlon Don Robinson Nov. 21, 1964, also in Paragould, Arkansas. Shirley Robinson was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Paragould, Arkansas, to Aaron and Jane (Masters) Hyde. She married Verlon Don Robinson Nov. 21, 1964, also in Paragould, Arkansas.

Shirley and Don spent most of their marriage living in Festus, Missouri, before relocating to Collierville, Tennessee after retirement. Shirley spent the final phase of her life living with family in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was a loving stay-at-home wife and mother. The woman often referred to as “Shirl”, “Mama”, “Sis”, “Shirway”, “Spirdog”, “Aunt Shirdo”, and “GiGi”, devoted her life to being a caregiver and loving friend to so many people.

Shirley was a talented crafter and avid gardener. She collected antique furniture and cherished the magic of Christmas. She loved spending evenings on her porch chatting with friends. She spent her life selflessly caring for others, loving them unconditionally, supporting them, fighting for them, and positioning them for success. She was a strong believer in Christ and heaven. She always had a soft spot in her heart for the underdogs in life. She was truly and deeply loved and

will be so missed by many.

Shirley is survived by two children, Tracy (Wes) Fletcher and Steven Robinson; one sister, Wilma Parks; six grandchildren, Whitney (Jeff) Payne whom Shirley considered as a daughter, Alex (Ericka) Roubidoux, Eric Roubidoux, Kyle Roubidoux, Olivia Roubidoux and Nick Roubidoux; four great-grandchildren, Addie, Reagan, Beckett, and Liam; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Shirley is preceded by her parents; husband, Don, of 55 years; two brothers, Don and Dwight Hyde.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery where Mrs. Shirley will be laid to rest next to her husband. Rev. Greg Gilberto and Pastor Adam Noles will be officiating.
