A juvenile reported at 4:18 p.m., Nov. 16 a they were bitten by a dog in the 2300 block of Kentucky Avenue. The dog was seized by an animal control officer for a 10-day rabies observation.

An employee at 10 Box at 1301 Shelby Rd. reported at 4:40 p.m., Nov. 16 a two young children were left unattended for half an hour in a car parked on their lot. At the officer’s request the owner was paged on the store intercom system and the parent returned to the vehicle.

Officers responded at 7:50 p.m., Nov. 16 to the intersection of West Pine Streey at North Broadway for a motor vehicle accident. A witness reported an 18-wheeler struck a utility pole and left the scene. The trucking company contacted the driver and had him return to the scene to complete the report.
