Dylan Ethan Tipton, 29-year-old beloved son of Melanie L. Shands of Harviell and Stephen R. Tipton, departed this life Friday, Nov. 18, 2022.
He was born Sept. 1, 1993, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Dylan graduated as salutatorian of the Neelyville High School Class of 2012. He was fun-loving and his vibrant personality helped him make many friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Dylan had a huge heart and was often helping other people and taking care of animals, especially his cats. He was a video game enthusiast and collected Funko Pops.
In addition to his mother and stepdad, Greg Shands, Dylan is survived by a sister, Makenna E. Tipton of Springfield, Missouri; a brother, Michael R. (Chelsea) Tipton, also of Springfield; his maternal grandfather, John M. Hicks; his paternal grandmother, Peggy Tipton; an uncle, Matthew E. Hicks; an aunt, Daronda Parks; cousins, Justin Parks and Kyle (Jennifer) Parks; and his step-grandparents, Doris and Wendell Shands; as well as many dear friends.
Dylan was preceded in death by his father, Stephen R. Tipton; his maternal grandmother, Joanne E. Hicks; his paternal grandfather, Ray Tipton; and an uncle, Allen Parks.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Doniphan, Missouri, beginning at 11 a.m. with the funeral services to follow at noon. Burial will be in Kinsey Cemetery in Harviell.
