Robertson Construction began disassembling the Pine Street Bridge on Thursday, Oct. 6.

The project, which is expected to cost approximately $3.5 million, will replace the 88-year-old westbound bridge over Black River on Business 60 (Pine Street).

Westbound traffic on Pine Street has been shifted to a head-to-head configuration on the eastbound bridge, allowing one lane of traffic in each direction. Crews also used culvert pipes and rock to make a temporary bridge over the Black River for cranes and other construction equipment, avoiding train tracks running under the east side of the bridge.

Information about the continuing bridge work and closures on the Black River are available at 1-888-275-6636 and notices will be posted on the river, in addition to public announcements.
