Fans traveling to Caruthersville Friday night, Sept. 30, to watch the Bearcats take on the Tigers can expect extra security in place for the game.
Friday night will be homecoming at Caruthersville and a news release from Caruthersville Superintendent Brad Gerling and Dexter Superintendent Amy James said extra security will be in place to ensure the safety and security of all fans, families, players and candidates.
The following measures will be in place Friday night:
• Dexter fans only, with a parking pass. will be allowed to park in the Ward Ave. Administration lot.
• Two gates will be utilized. The main north gate on 16th Street as well as a gate inside the entrance at the south of the building facing the tiger statue.
• Additional school personnel and law enforcement will be on duty inside and outside the premises
• Only fans with a conference pass or advanced ticket will be allowed to enter. Tickets will be
available at the Dexter High School Office beginning Wednesday, September 28th at noon -
3:30 p.m., Thursday, September 29th from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and Friday, September 30th from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Fans must show the ticket and pay at the Caruthersville gate in order to enter the game.
• Only clear bags/purses no larger than l2"x6"x 12'' will be allowed in the stadium. All bags are subject to search. You are strongly encouraged not to bring any type of bag
• All fans must pass through a metal detector to enter the stadium.
• Face coverings of any kind will not be allowed at any time.
• 16th Street will be closed at kickoff and will remain closed until the conclusion of the game.
• No Loitering will be allowed outside the stadium
In addition, one of the Dexter School Resource Officers will be in attendance at the game.
