Jacob Wilson reported at 11:14 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, the license plates were stolen from his vehicle.

Gary Merriman, 65, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:14 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at his residence in the 500 block of Hazel Street following a confrontation with a neighbor on a charge of assault third degree. He was booked into the Butler County Jail.

Officers responded at 2:34 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, to a residence in the 1400 block of North 14th Street for a drug overdose. Narcan was administered by EMS, and the victim regained consciousness. The victim was transported by ambulance to Poplar Buff Regional Medical Center.

An adult female reported at 4:27 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, her boyfriend struck her in the face at Jay’s Corner Store at 707 N. Ninth St.

A juvenile reported at 5:06 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, he was assaulted by a juvenile sibling and another juvenile in the 500 block of Karen Drive.

Alvin Hill reported at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, an acquaintance stole a pistol from him in front of his residence at 445 North Main St.

An employee at Dollar General, 903 Highway 53, reported at 8:08 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, a white male placed merchandise in a shopping basket and left the store without paying for the items.

Curtis Hesselrode reported at 8:12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, an acquaintance stole his tent at Ray Clinton Park.

A juvenile was detained at 8:14 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, for stealing at Walmart Supercenter, 333 South Westwood Blvd. The juvenile was released to a parent.

Georgia Dudley, 34, and Sharon Kelley, 23, both of Poplar Bluff, were arrested at 10:22 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Walmart Supercenter, 333 South Westwood Blvd. Dudley was arrested on suspicion of burglary and stealing. She was booked in the Butler County Jail. Kelley was arrested on suspicion on charges of burglary, stealing and a Butler County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of amphetamine. She was booked in the Butler County Jail.

An employee at Poplar Bluff Junior High School reported Saturday, Sept. 17, two students damaged another student’s shoes by coloring on them with a marker while they were on a school bus. This matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

An employee at Home Depot reported at 7:13 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, two white males tried to steal merchandise. The merchandise was recovered and both subjects were banned from Home Depot property.

Davie Vincent, 51, of Poplar Bluff and Rolondia Dyson, 28, of Poplar Bluff were arrested at 8:46 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at a residence in the 500 block of West Midland Street following a fight at the residence. They were each arrested on a charge of suspicion of domestic assault and booked into the Butler County Jail.

Kim Caudle reported at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, a package was taken from her from her property in the 1500 block of Alice Street.

Randy Shepherd 44, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 12:04 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, during a traffic stop on South Broadway on a Butler County warrant for dangerous drugs. He was booked into the Butler County Jail.

Desiree McClure reported at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, a cell phone was taken from her purse in the 2700 block of Fair Street.

Jonathan Fanter, 24, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:15 p.m. at a residence Sunday, Sept. 18, in the 800 block of Kinzer Street on a charge of violation of an order of protection. He was booked into the Butler County Jail.

Kasandra Clemons reported 3:02 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, personal items were stolen from her residence in the 1300 block of North Main Street.

Officers responded at 7:48 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, to a motor vehicle accident on Ashcroft Road at South Broadway. One of the vehicles left the scene, and was found on the lot at Jay’s Corner Store at 1040 South Broadway. The occupants of the suspect vehicle were identified, and the vehicle was impounded and towed. A request for charges was sent to the prosecutor.

Officers responded at 1:13 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, to a residence in the 1400 block of West Vine Street for a fight. No injury was reported and neither party pressed criminal charges.
