A staff member at Poplar Bluff Middle School reported at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, a student was assaulted by another student on the playground. This matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Chad Rushin reported at 11:23 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, a red and black motorized bicycle was stolen from his residence in the 300 block of Valley Street.

Todd Nicholas reported at 12:01 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, fraudulent charges were made to a debit card.

Two students at Poplar Bluff Junior High School were detained at 12:38 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, after school staff caught them using a marijuana vaping device. The children were released to their parents and the matter was referred to the Juvenile Office.

Officers responded at 12:53 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, to an assisted living residence in the 700 block of Warren Street for an assault report. A caregiver in the home reported she was assaulted by a resident. The caregiver reported minor injury, but refused to prosecute.

An employee at RNR Tire Express reported at 3:50 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, the theft of a set of four rented tires.

Michael Litterst reported at 4:51 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, a customer stole a laptop computer from behind the counter at Buffalo Wild Wings at 1429 N. Westwood Blvd. The customer was contacted by an officer and he returned the laptop. This matter was referred to the Butler County Prosecutor.

Officers responded at 6:44 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, to a residence in the 400 block of Short A street for a drug overdose. The victim was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Terrence Fields Jr., 27, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Walgreens on Poplar Bluff municipal failure to appear warrants for traffic offenses and shoplifting. Fields was unable to post bond but he was released on his own recognizance.

Taylor Burnett reported at 7:24 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, the back glass of his vehicle was damaged while it was parked at the Poplar Bluff Junior High School.

Robert Martin, 33, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at his residence in the 600 block of West Victor Street on a Poplar Bluff Municipal failure to appear warrant for no insurance. He was released on bond.

Teresa Withem reported at 9:01 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, a revolver missing from her vehicle.

Shelby Quilman, 31, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:17 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, on Cherry Street on a Butler County warrant for burglary. She was lodged in the Butler County jail.

Caitlyn Hood, 35, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 2:14 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at the Internet Café at 30 Highway 142 on Poplar Bluff Municipal failure to appear warrants for no insurance. She was released on bond.

Rolondia Dyson reported at 3:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, was assaulted by an acquaintance while they were at the Internet Café at 30 Highway 142.

Officers responded at 8:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, to a residence in the 1000 block of Kinzer Street for a drug overdose. The victim was given Narcan prior to officer arrival and refused further medical treatment.
