Two students at Poplar Bluff High School reported at 7:35 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, they were assaulted by an adult student. Criminal summonses were mailed to the suspect.

Alvie Davidson reported at 9:05 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, a 12-foot trailer had been stolen from his property in the 2300 block of South 11th Street.

Henry Smith, 44, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Casey’s General Store, 599 E. Pine St., on a charge of trespassing. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Brandy Johnson reported at 2:42 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, wallet with cash and debit cards was taken from her vehicle while it was parked in the 1000 block of Warren Street.

Officers responded to a residence at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in the 1700 block of Spring Street for a domestic disturbance. No injury was reported and neither party wanted to press charges.

An employee at Car Mart reported at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, a couple failed to return a car after a test drive. The vehicle was tracked to a residence in Birch Tree and it was recovered by the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office.

David Belt reported at 7:08 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, he was assaulted in front of Westwood Billiards, 207 S. Westwood Blvd.

Keith Gillmer, 41, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, on Highways 142 and 53 on a Probation and Parole warrant for parole violation. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Officers responded at 5:03 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, to a residence in the 400 block of Short A Street in reference to a drug overdose. EMS administered Narcan, and the victim recovered and refused further medical treatment.

Daniel Kara, 38, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Jay’s Corner Store at 1040 South Broadway on a Butler County warrant for stealing and a Stoddard County failure to appear warrant for tampering with a motor vehicle. He was booked at the Butler County jail.
