SILVA — Two people were injured, one seriously, in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday morning on Highway 34, four miles east of Silva.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, David R. Gurney, 30, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2008 Ford Ranger westbound at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Gurney sustained moderate injuries, while a passenger, Ashli D. Werner, 37, of Wappapello suffered serious injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
