Sharon Moore Poe, 73, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Mrs. Poe was born on July 11, 1948, to John and Freda Phillips. She worked for McPheeters Clinic and then as an administrative assistant for the Poplar Bluff School district at Lake Road and Central office.

She was also a founding member of Faith Baptist Church where alongside her husband James, they pioneered the church start at Wappapello, Missouri. She was presently a member of Fellowship Church and enjoyed leading women’s ministry events, Bible studies, and a Grief Share ministry.

She loved to decorate, travel, plant flowers, bird watch, and shop. She also loved spending time with her many friends, family, children, and grandchildren. She was an encourager and willingly offered her talents wherever she could to help everyone she met. Her smile and laughter were contagious and could light up a room.

On June 19, 1966, she married James Moore. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2000. On July 19, 2003, she married Donald Poe. He survives.

Also surviving is her mother: Freda Phillips of Poplar Bluff; four children: Jeffrey (Kimberly) Moore of Greenville, Missouri, Jennifer (John) Settle of Poplar Bluff, Kevin (Cindy) Poe of Rhome, Texas, and Karla (Chris) Sibayan of Denver, Colorado; 11 grandchildren: Jordan Moore, Kaelyn Gutierrez, Kerrigan Moore, Cameron Settle, Collin Settle, Brandon Poe, Tiffiny Stoker, Rodney Poe, Josh Sibayan, Justin Sibayan, and Jordan Sibayan; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father: John Phillips; first husband: James Moore; one sister: Donna Capps; and one niece: Kimberly Capps.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Fellowship Church in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the church sanctuary with Jeff Moore and Rev. Byron Beck officiating. Burial will follow at Little Brushy Cemetery in Wappapello, Missouri.
