Glen A. Tompkins, age 88, of Qulin, MO, died Thursday, June 23, 2022, at his residence in Qulin. Mr. Tompkins was born October 29, 1933, in Qulin to the late John Wesley and Florence Tompkins. On November 18, 1953, he married Almareda Bradley at Piggott, AR. ...

Glen A. Tompkins, age 88, of Qulin, MO, died Thursday, June 23, 2022, at his residence in Qulin. Mr. Tompkins was born October 29, 1933, in Qulin to the late John Wesley and Florence Tompkins. On November 18, 1953, he married Almareda Bradley at Piggott, AR. He joined the Army in 1955 and served during the Korean War until 1957. Glen was a bus driver for Twin Rivers School, and a mechanic for Vern Davis Gas Station. He later found his love for farming and enjoyed passing that love and knowledge on to his sons and grandsons. He also loved horses, especially his beloved horse, Rusty. He was a member of Cardiac Boys Horse Riding Club. His family was very special to him, and he loved being a grandpa.

Glen is survived by his wife of 68 years, Almareda Tompkins; two sons: Max Tompkins and Roger (Leann) Tompkins, all of Qulin; 8 grandchildren: Stephanie (Heath) Buie, Stacey (John) Pace, Shawn Tompkins, Eric (Daphne) Tompkins, Danielle (Josh) Littles, Jeremy (Ashley) Tompkins, Justin Tompkins, and Tosha (Blake) Hollifield; 15 great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Noah, Katie, Hunter, Branden, Ryan, Colby, Ryder, Sophia, Beau, Amelia, Max, Presley, Westin, Kollins; one great-great granddaughter: Shelby; two brothers: Bill Tompkins and Theron Tompkins, both of Patterson, MO; two sisters: Betty Davis of Patterson, MO, Margie O’Donell, St. Louis, MO; two special nieces: Jillie and Breanna Wilson, and several other nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son: Stephen Tompkins; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 27, 2022, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
