Eight adults recently completed trade and industry programs at the Poplar Bluff Technical Career Center and will move into their chosen fields.

“I am thrilled that so many family members and special guests could join us today to celebrate the many accomplishments of these fine young men who are completing their courses and graduating,” said Charles Kinsey, TCC director. “We are so proud of all of the hard work that has been done by these graduates and wish them well as they move on to successful careers.”

An awards luncheon was held May 25 for adult graduates and their families.

Students graduated from the following programs: Cody Cassinger, computer maintenance and repair; Ian Gilton, welding; Jayvon Holloway-Allen, welding; Brendan “Wade” Lowery, culinary arts; Theodore Roberts, auto collision; Anthony Schmutzler, heating and cooling; Michael Smith, building trades; and Edgar Zapata, welding.

Cassinger, Roberts, Schmutzler, Smith and Zapata graduated with honors.

Internship partners were: Poplar Bluff R-I schools, Rice Trailer, PB Trailer, MGL Mobile Welding LLC and Rickie Armor Classic Cars, all of Poplar Bluff; Patty’s Restaurant and Lounge of Doniphan; and Graham Construction of Dexter.

TCC offers training in cosmetology, building trades, health occupations, culinary arts, computer graphics, auto collision and repair and more.
