POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

City firefighters responded at 4:40 p.m. Monday, April 11, to 2783 N. Westwood to assist Butler County Ambulance at the scene of a motor vehicle accident. According to the report, no injuries were reported.

City firefighters responded to a call at 5:17 p.m. Monday, April 11, in the 1000 block of Kinzer St. in reference to an occupant who had fallen through the floor with one leg trapped. According to the report, the occupant was freed and refused emergency medical treatment.

City firefighters responded to an alarm at 9:47 p.m. Monday, April 11, at 608 Kinzer in reference to a structure being hit by lightning, causing smoke. According to the report, firefighters vented the structure and cleared the scene.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

A 32-year-old woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 5:35 p.m. Monday, April 11, on County Road 546, five miles north of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, Melinda I. Brandenburg, 32, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 eastbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Brandenburg was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
