Aaron Scott Medley, 33, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the Butler County jail Wednesday, April 6, on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a child.

Teyrsa Ray Medley, 28, of Poplar Bluff was booked at the Butler County jail Wednesday, April 6, on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a child.

Danny Jameson of Poplar Bluff reported on Monday, April 4, the front license plate of his vehicle had been stolen. According to the report, no suspect has been identified.

Deborah Pruitt of the 1100 block of Highway T reported suspicious activity on her property on Saturday, April 2. According to reports the suspicious activity is said to have occurred on or around March 14 and several items were reported as missing.

Deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Monument Lane on Wednesday, April 6, in reference to an attempted burglary. According to reports occupant Ethan Jackson reported he heard unknown person prying his door open. Upon investigation, Jackson, armed with a rifle, found unknown person standing in the doorway. Jackson reported he discharged his firearm toward the suspect. Identification of the suspect is still under investigation.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters were dispatched at 12:16 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, to 2501 N Westwood Blvd. in reference to a vehicle accident. According to the report, no injuries reported and the scene was cleared.

Firefighters were dispatched at 3:33 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, to an alarm at 3100 Oak Grove, Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. According to the report, it was a false alaem.

Firefighters were dispatched at 3:51 Wednesday, April 6, to 298 Poplar St. in reference to an unauthorized burn on the corner of South 9th and Poplar streets. According to the report, the individual associated with the burn was reported as appearing intoxicated and the Poplar Bluff Police Department was given the individual’s name.

Firefighters were dispatched at 4:54 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, in response to burning trash in the alley between Maud and Spring streets and between 9th and Mill streets. According to the report, the fire was extinguished.

BUTLER COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters were dispatched at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, to 17 Alyssa Lane in reference to heavy smoke in the residence. According to the report, a faulty HVAC unit was found to be the cause.
