Chester Dale Taylor, 75, of Puxico, Missouri, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Taylor was born Dec. 26, 1946, in Dudley, Missouri. Chester Dale Taylor, 75, of Puxico, Missouri, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Taylor was born Dec. 26, 1946, in Dudley, Missouri.

He graduated from Puxico High School in 1964. He served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was proud to have served his country.

Dale was a longtime member of Brown General Baptist Church in Puxico. He retired from Walker Construction in Dexter. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

On Aug. 13, 1966, he married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie June Johns. She preceded him in death Feb. 3, 2019. Dale has deeply missed her for the last three years and has been eager to be reunited with his bride.

He is survived by two sons, Matthew Taylor and wife, Janell, and David Taylor, all of Puxico; four grandchildren, Scott Taylor and wife, Heather, Dustin Taylor (Danielle), Pvt. First Class Wyatt Taylor and wife, Jayna, and Alivia Taylor (Austin); four great-granddaughters, Rylee Kay and Mallie Jo Taylor, Kimber Rae Taylor, and Aubrey Rose Taylor; two sisters, Joyce Hargrove and Carolyn Jo Piel, both of Saint Ann, Missouri; one brother, Terry Taylor and wife, Carolyn of Dexter, Missouri; siblings-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Taylor of Dudley, Rick and Patty McLean of Puxico, Larry and Debbie Johns of Fruitland, Missouri, Darlene Loos of Florissant, Missouri, and Kevin and Janet Johns of Dudley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Ferral Taylor.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, at Brown General Baptist in Puxico. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church sanctuary with Bro. Ray Placher and Bro. Johnny Buttry officiating. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery in Puxico.
