NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Michael Robert Smith, 59, of Fairdealing, Missouri, passed away Feb. 16, 2022, in the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 21, 1962, at LaPorte, Indiana to the late Robert Smith and Jeannie “Rodgers” Smith.
On Dec. 18, 1983, he was married to Georgia Houston, at Phoenix, Arizona. She survives.
Also surviving are two children: Michelle Carter and husband, Bobbie, and Shauna Sparks and husband, Jonny, all of Fairdealing, Missouri; grandchildren: Coleton Carter and Fiancé, Ali, Hunter Sparks, Maverick Michael Sparks; one aunt; Pat Porter of LaPorte, Indiana as well as many cousins also survive.
He was a member of the Pilgrims Rest Church at Fairdealing and served on the church board. He was owner and operator of Mike’s Automotive and body shop. He enjoyed cooking, smoking meat, building cars, computers, and engines, He also enjoyed his grand babies and doing the sound at the church.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, starting at 1:30 p.m. with the funeral following at 2:30 p.m. all in the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home at Neelvyille, Missouri. Burial will be in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery near Fairdealing, with Jared Hancock.
