Firefighters responded at 8:14 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, to a single-vehicle accident at North Riverview Drive. A car had driven over the levee and into Palmer Slough. The driver was not injured.

Daniel Robinson reported at 9:43 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, that five propane tanks had been stolen from the Gates Refurbishing facility at 1014 S. Broadway.

Beverly Atkinson reported at 11:50 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, that both license plates on her vehicle were stolen while it was parked in the 100 block of Moran Street.

Jade Singleton reported at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, that his bicycle was stolen while it was parked outside Poplar Buff’s Walmart Supercenter.

A resident of the 900 block of South Ninth Street reported at 12:51 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, there was damage found to a window at his/her residence.

Gregory Leach Jr., 32, of the 700 block of D Street was arrested on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Terry L. Atkins, 37, of the 400 block of Cherry Street was arrested at 4:57 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, at the Probation/Parole Community Supervision Center on three probation violation warrants. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Timothy E. Lipsey, 40, of the 2200 block of County Road 421 was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, on a probation violation warrant. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Brandi Briscoe reported at 11:11 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, that someone had ransacked her vehicle while it was parked in the 900 block of Oakwood Street. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Christopher S. Barrett, 41, of the 1400 block of Black River Industrial Park Road was booked Friday, Jan. 14, at the Butler County jail on a parole violation warrant.

Jon A. Hise, 60, of Wappapello was booked Friday, Jan. 14, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of resisting arrest.

Tiffany D. Lacey, 25, of the 200 block of Discount Drive was booked Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of harassment and peace disturbance.

Cody D. Mayse, 40, of the 1600 block of Wilson Street was booked Sunday, Jan. 16, at the Butler County jail on suspicion of possession of prohibited items in a correctional facility and non-support.

Michael T. Powell. 29, of Naylor was booked Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Butler County jail to serve 48 hours shock time.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

An 89-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle accident at 2:22 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, on County Road 118, five miles north of Annapolis in Iron County.

According to the report, Lewis A. Hale, 89, of Annapolis was operating a 2014 Polaris Ranger northbound when it turned into the path of a southbound 2005 Mercury Mariner operated by Shane O. James, 35, of Annapolis, ejecting Hale.

Hale was pronounced dead at the scene by Iron County coroner Tim Harbison at 3:33 p.m. He is the first fatality of 2022 in Troop E.

Jon A. Hise, 60 of Wappapello was arrested at 7:03 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, in Butler County on suspicion of driving while revoked, resisting arrest by fleeing, speeding, no seat belt, no insurance, failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to yield to emergency equipment and failure to properly affix plates. He was booked at the Butler County jail on a 24-hour hold.

A 23-year-old man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 9:42 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, on Highway B, five miles east of Poplar Bluff.

According to the report, a 17-year-old female from Naylor was operating a 2005 Ford Mustang westbound when it ran off the road and struck a guardrail, causing state property damage to 20 feet of guardrail.

A passenger in the Mustang, Kyle A. Lucas, 23, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, was taken via private conveyance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

A 44-year-old man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the intersection of Highway V and County Road 355 in Butler County.

According to the report, Elco J. Redden, 44, of Neelyville was operating a 2008 Buick Lucerne southbound when it failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a westbound 2015 Toyota Camry operated by Marie A. Toole, 63, of Harviell.

Redden was taken by EMS to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Dillon W. Moore, 26, of Bloomfield was arrested at 7:03 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, in Stoddard County on suspicion of DWI, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway and no seat belt. He was released.

Tracie K. Bowlin, 47, of Greenville was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, in Wayne County on suspicion of DWI (alcohol). She was booked at the Wayne County jail on a 12-hour hold.
