Deputies responded at 8:52 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, to a report of an abandoned vehicle at the intersection of County Roads 331 and 328. They found the vehicle had been burned.

McKenzie J. Gray, 29, of Ellington was booked Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the Butler County jail on a capias warrant for possession of marijuana.
POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT
Firefighters responded at 5:22 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, to a call of a fire at 1706 Saxon St. Upon arrival, they found a small fire burning in the rear of the residence and a lager one burning across the property line in the county. The homeowner put the smaller fire out while firefighters put out the larger fire with 50 gallons of water.

Firefighters responded at 2:12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, to a report of an unauthorized burn at 2616 Avondale. Upon arrival, they found an occupant burning items behind the house and notified him/her of the city’s burn ordinance. The occupant used a bucket of water to put the fire out.

Firefighters were dispatched at 9:32 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, to Park Street to clear the roadway after an automobile accident.

Joshua L. Murph, 22, of the 1000 block of Peach Street was arrested at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, on Peach Street on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon. He was processed at the police station and released.

Matthew G. Tinnell, 38, of the 5300 block of Township Line Road was arrested at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, on Plum Street on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed at the police station and released.

Austin, 37, of the 600 block of North D Street was arrested at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, on Plum Street on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Jessica N. Campbell, 40, of the 500 block of Dalton was arrested at 11:52 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 900 W. Pine St. on suspicion of stealing. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Ronald B. Burgess, 37, of the 2100 b lock of Highway 142 was arrested at 1:23 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, in the 1700 block of Maud Street on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, violation of an order of protection and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He was processed at the police station and released.
BUTLER COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT
County firefighters responded at 1:18 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, to the intersection of Highway PP and Physicians Park Drive to wash off the roadway after a motor vehicle accident.

County firefighters responded at 11:53 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, to a report of a grass fire at 164 Herron Lane. The fire burned about two acres and firefighters used 100 gallons of water to extinguish it.

County firefighters responded at 7:53 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, to a report of a shed fire at the 1624 County Road 448 home owned by Sam O’Brien. The wood-framed shed was a total loss.
MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
Sabrina K. Ghattas-Kaelin, 32, of Wappapello was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, in Madison County on suspicion of felony possession of 1 1/2 Xanax pills, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released.

Bobby J. Buckhanon, 35, of Corning, Arkansas was arrested at 1:27 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, on an Arkansas Board of Parole felony warrant for a parole violation, a Clay County, Arkansas felony failure to appear warrant for dangerous drugs, and on suspicion of no valid driver’s license, careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash, failure to register a motor vehicle, no seat belt, no insurance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Butler County jail.
