Tabitha L. Morris, 34, of the 900. Lock of Cole Avenue was booked Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Butler County jail on a warrant for tampering with a motor vehicle. She later was released.

Ty S. Robinson, 35, of the 2200 block of Kentucky Avenue was booked Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Butler County jail on a capias warrant for non-support.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters responded to a call at 10:22 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, of a grass fire at Whiteley Park. Upon arrival, the found Park Department staff burning brush. Firefighters used 100 gallons of water to put the fire out.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Denise Resinger reported on Wednesday, Nov. 17, she left $100 in change at a self checkout at the Walmart Supercenter. When she returned, the money was gone.

Officers responded at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, to a vacant property in the 400 block of East Henry, where a truck was found in the yard. It was determined the truck had been stolen during a burglary of a business in the 1900 block of South Broadway.

Jacqueline Willard reported at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, that someone had broken the windshield of her vehicle while it was parked in the 700 block of North Ninth Street.

Thomas D. Callahan, 37, of the 700 block of Ninth Street was arrested at 11:05 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, on Ninth Street on a warrant for first-degree burglary, a warrant for non-support and on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL

Damien A. Dodson, 42, of Piedmont was arrested at 12:17 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in Wayne County on a Jefferson County felony warrant for non-support and on suspicion of no valid operator’s license. He was booked at the Wayne County jail.

A 35-year-old man sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 8:38 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 62 and Highway 25, three miles south of Malden.

According to the report, Felix S. Santiago, 43, of Clarkton was operating a 2009 Toyota RAV4 northbound when it failed to yield and turned into the path of a southbound 2008 Honday VTX 1800 operated by Jacob L. Tucker, 35, of Clarkton.

Tucker sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Survival Flight to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

At 9:27 p.m., Santiago was arrested in Dunklin County on suspicion of felony DWI causing physical injury, operating a motor vehicle with no driver’s license and failure to yield. He was booked at the Dunklin County jail on a 24-hour hold.

Jeffrey K. Guthrie, 51, of Fairdealing was arrested at 8:56 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, in Ripley County on suspicion of felony DWI (persistent offender) and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was released.
