FISK, Mo. — Mark R. Orton, 56, of Williamsville, Missouri, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Orton was born on Feb.10, 1965 in Poplar Bluff, to Donald and Nickey (Parrish) Orton. He worked at Bluff Barbershop for 25 years, and later became the owner after his father retired. Mark loved being a barber and formed many friendships throughout his career. He had customers of all ages, but he held a special place in his heart for children, especially those with special needs, and gave special care and attention to making sure they felt comfortable while in his barber chair.
Mark was a Dallas Cowboys Fan. He was also a fan of John Wayne, so much so that he once visited his grave, and even started picking up on some of his mannerisms. He also enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his parents: Don and Nickey Orton of Williamsville; significant other: Pam Chamberlain; two brothers: Larry (Dawn) Orton of Fairmont, West Virginia, and Darren Orton of Branson, Missouri; six nieces and nephews: Lori, Travis, Logan, and Jaren Orton, Payton and Lilly Orton, and their mother, Brandi Jordan.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2021 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
