Sandy Jo Taylor, daughter of the late William Howard Shaffer II and Aliece Bewley Shaffer was born May 18, 1963, in Hayti, Missouri, and departed this life Oct. 27, 2021, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She had attained the age of 58.

Sandy had lived in Poplar Bluff for the past 38 years and was formerly of Ellsinore, Missouri. She was of the Christian faith and had attended the West Side Church in Poplar Bluff. She was a Real Estate Agent for Mossy Oak for many years. She enjoyed being outdoors, vacations on the beach, talking, and spending time with her family, and getting the last word. Sandy was very outgoing, strong-willed, loving, would do anything to help others, and loved her family.

On May 18, 1991, she was united in marriage to Eric Taylor in Poplar Bluff.

Sandy is survived by the love of her life and best friend, Eric Taylor of Poplar Bluff; her daughters, Mallory Parr (Blake) and McKenzie Taylor, all of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, William Howard Shaffer III (Lynn) and Jimmy Ray Shaffer (Jamie), all of Ellsinore; three sisters, Sherry Hill (Clarence) of Grandin, Missouri, Wendy Carter (James) of Ellsinore, and Pam Howell (Stan) of Lancaster, South Carolina; three grandchildren, who were the smile in her heart, Ella Parr, Layne Parr, and Livvie Parr and many family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by one sister, Julie Ann Shaffer.

A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, in the Assembly of God Church in Ellsinore, with the funeral services being held at 12:30 p.m. in the Church Chapel. Rev. Tom Wilder will be officiating. Burial will be in Smith Chapel in Ellsinore.
