Neelyville School’s Tiger Fest Saturday, Oct. 16, was “a great day,” said Superintendent Debra Parish.

The day was filled with family activities and contests and Parish said, while there was not a count taken, “there were comments it was one of the biggest crowds we have had.”

“Tiger Fest serves as a community outreach event, while, at the same time, providing opportunities for clubs, classes, teams to raise money through various booths and raffles,” Parish said.

Among the winners are junior and senior high schools Mr. and Miss Tiger Fest.

Junior High Mr. Tiger Fest winners are Prince Jaheim Watkins, first runner up Cam Wolfram and second runner up Ruger Fisher.

Junior High Miss Tiger Fest winners are Princess Parker Ernst, first runner up Nichole Akers and second runner up Maddie Lumby.

High School Mr. Tiger Fest King is Jayedon Creach and the first runner up is Jonathan Scott and second runner up Denver Crossen.

High School Miss Tiger Fest Queen is Morgan Day, first runner up is Jenna Hunter and second runner up is Makynli Day.

Each one introduces him or herself and answers a question. The selection is based on grades, poise, etc.
