Martha Eunice Joiner, 94 of St. Louis, Missouri passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Vernice (nee Evans) Burris, her sisters, Helen Galanos, Naomi Burris, and Doris Whittle, and brother, Jim Burris.
Eunice graduated from Rombauer High School in 1944.
Eunice was the beloved mother of Carrol(Ann) Joiner and “Nanny” to her grandchildren, Deanna, Cari, and Mark and great-children, Randy, Sara, Katyn, and Jacob and great-greatgrandchildren, Austin, and Cameron.
She is also surrived by her sisters, Kathleen Battles, Sue Ray, Lou (Aubra)Mattingly, Jeanie Wheeler and her brother, Charles (Mary) Burris.
Eunice was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a beautiful, strong, independent woman with a heart of gold. She was always there for anyone who needed her.
She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and dressing up for any occasion. She truly lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her kindness and compassion for all and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
One final act of kindness was donating her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine, contributing the gift of knowledge.
