MALDEN, Mo. — Barbara Ellen Bradfield, the daughter of the late Earl Brown and Pansy Lucille Jones Hicks, was born Feb. 1, 1938, in Gideon, Missouri.
She worked at Brown Shoe Co., in Bernie, Missouri, until its closing. She later worked at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri .
Mrs. Bradfield died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, in Sikeston, Missouri, at the age of 83 years.
Survivors include one son, Carl Bradfield (Michelle) of Piggott, Arkansas; one sister, Nadine Merritt of Gideon; three sisters-in-law, Vyrene Brown of Gideon, Frances Farris of Malden and Ellen Pennell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two grandchildren, Timothy Loyal of Doniphan, Missouri and Barbara Stuart of Fulton, Missouri; 10 great -grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter, Jennifer Parks of Jackson, Missouri and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son, Harold David Bradfield, Jr. and one daughter, Linda Kay Long.
A visitation was from 6- 8: p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, in the chapel, with Mr. Randall Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri.
