CORNING, Mo. — William Cato, 52, of Doniphan passed away Aug. 25, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Cato was retired from the Missouri Conservation Department. He enjoyed hunting, photography, music, Facebook contests, watching Cardinals baseball and playing with his grandchildren. He was a member of Faith Life Community Church in Doniphan.
On Sept. 2, 2000, he married Christine Keeling. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Sean Cato of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Jesse Ray of Paragould, Terry Ray of Peach Orchard, and Trent Ray of Peach Orchard; mother, Lily Cato of Doniphan; brothers, Jesse, Jeff, and Sam Cato, all of Fairdealing, Missouri; sisters, Georgia Ferguson, Becky Cato, and Barbara Green, all of Doniphan; grandchildren, Dawson, Caleb, Amelia, and Remmi; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father William “Bo” Cato and nephew Nathan Cato.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021 at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Alan Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel.
