Robert Ernest Sharp, 32, of Neelyville was arrested at 3:11 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, in the 500 block of South D Street on a Butler County warrant for probation violation for possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Katina Rae Millhouse, 21, of the 1000 block of Nickey Street was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 10, on an active Wayne County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. She was booked into the Butler County jail.

Montreal Dinnel Garmon, 22, of the 1700 block of Illinois Avenue was arrested at 6:57 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, on a failure to appear warrant on a violation of an ex parte/full order of protection. He was booked into the Butler County jail.

Elizabeth Ann Ferguson, 31, of the 2300 block of Tennessee was arrested at 10:31 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle and two failure to appear warrants for possession of a controlled substance and stealing.
POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPARTMENT
Poplar Bluff Firefighters responded at 1:46 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, to River Mist Residential Home, 2050 W. Maud St., where an alarm system sounded due to a malfunction. Firefighters found a smoke sensor in the front lobby had activated but there was no smoke in the building. The alarm was reset and management called a service tech.

Firefighters responded at 4:08 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, to Mid-Continent Steel and Wire, 2700 Central Avenue, to fire on the roof. A construction crew said they had fire on the roof but believed it was out. Fire personnel went to the roof to investigate paint stirring equipment that had overheated an caught the tar silicon paint on fire on the roofing material. Construction crew used a garden hose to extinguish the fire. Hot spots were found in an access hole on the roof. Fire personnel removed trim and covering to extinguish the hot spots. They used 15 gallons of water.

Firefighters responded at 6.25 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, to the intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Barron Road to a vehicle accident and general cleanup. Firefighters assisted with traffic control and cleared debris from the roadway.

Firefighters responded at 8:46 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, to East Pine Boulevard. and Riverview to an unauthorized burn at Sportsman Park area underneath the bridge on Pine. Burning wire was extinguished. Firefighters used five gallons of water.
