Peggy J. Beauford, age 78, of Puxico, Missouri, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Beauford was born January 21, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of the late Floyd ‘Hobert’ and Virginia Johnson. On April 11, 1968, she married Ronald Beauford; they enjoyed over 53 years together. He survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Lesa (Bill) Meadows of Woodburn, Indiana; three sons, Joseph (Belinda) Brown of Marble Hill, Missouri, Jason Beauford and Rodney (Angel) Beauford, all of Puxico; one stepson, Steve Beauford; two stepdaughters, Mitzi Hawken and Diana Jones; nine grandchildren, Justin, Jennette, Cody, Kalib, Kendra, Mark, Josh, Christina and Jacob and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd ‘Buddy’ Johnson and J.D. Johnson and one sister, Helen ‘Mickey’ Stanley.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, July 2 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marty Bryant officiating.
