Carol Lou LeGrand, daughter of the late Pearl Clifford Ward and Elsie Mae (Campbell) Ward was born September 8, 1944 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She departed this life on June 26, 2021 at her home in Ellsinore, Missouri, surrounded by her family and friends. She had attained the age of seventy-six years...

Carol Lou LeGrand, daughter of the late Pearl Clifford Ward and Elsie Mae (Campbell) Ward was born September 8, 1944 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She departed this life on June 26, 2021 at her home in Ellsinore, Missouri, surrounded by her family and friends. She had attained the age of seventy-six years.

Carol served as a secretary for the East Carter R-2 School District, where she retired after 22 years. Previous employment included; The Bank of Grandin in Ellsinore, for ten years; Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and the Bank of Poplar Bluff in Poplar Bluff.

Carol enjoyed playing games with friends and family, hanging out with the Red Hat Society, going to Branson, attending church and singing.

She loved spending time with family, planting flowers, watching hummingbirds, playing Rummikub and train, flea marketing, going to southern gospel concerts and listening to Elvis and The Hinsons. She also loved embroidery and reading.

Carol attended Star Community Church, where her mother, Sister Elsie Ward, pastored years ago and is currently pastored by Rev. Neal Chilton.

She is survived by a son, Monty LeGrand and wife, Teresa; a daughter, Laura Powell; five grandchildren, Bethany Newman and husband Cody, Makayla LeGrand, Hailey Kirkman and husband, Wyatt, Conner Powell, Coleton Powell and wife. Jordan; six great-grandchildren, Sydney, Sadie and Saylar Newman, Lucas LeGrand, Lennon and Bazz Powell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30 from 6-8 p.m. in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore with the funeral services being held on Thursday, July 1 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Neal Chilton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Center Ridge Cemetery in Greenville, Missouri.
