Joseph Lloyd Williams age 83 of Wappapello, Missouri, passed away on June 26, 2021 at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He was born October 1, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan, son of Charles and Laura Thrasher Williams. He and Annetta Young were united in marriage on June 8, 1957.
Joseph worked as a carpenter with his son, was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Wappapello and served his country proudly in the United States Army.
Joseph is survived by his wife; sons, Robert J. Williams of Warrenton, Missouri, Timothy Williams of St. Charles, Missouri, Dickie Williams of Wentzville, Missouri; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Laura Williams; daughter, Peggy Alexander; brother, Charles Williams and sister, Martha Jane Kimble.
Burial will follow in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors provided by the Cemetery Honor Guard.
The arrangements were under the care of Liley Funeral Homes in Marble Hill.
