City firefighters responded to a report of a dumpster fire at 4:01 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, at 444 North Main Street. According to the report, when firefighters arrived, they found bystanders trying to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher. Firefighters used 20 gallons of water to extinguish the fire.

City firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle accident at 7:41 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, on the Highway 67 bypass across from Menards. According to the report, when firefighters arrived, they found a single car that had left the roadway. There were no injuries and the car was towed.
