Thursday, February 4, 2021, Bradley ‘Kirk’ Burris, a loving father of two sons, passed away at age 57.
Kirk was born on August 4, 1963 in Madsonville, Kentucky to Elmer Leon ‘Lonnie’ Burris and Shelby Jean Lowe.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew Burris and wife, Lyndsey, Patrick Burris and wife, Sarah; father, Lonnie Burris; mother, Jean Murphy and husband, Brent; brothers, Scott Murphy and his partner, John, Kent Burris and his wife, Robin, Regan Burris and his wife, Nadia; his sister, Gwendolyn (Wendy) Musielski and her husband, Peter.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Grace Lowe, Brent and Patricia Murphy Sr. and his stepmother, Karen Burris.
Kirk always had a love for the outdoors from a young age of playing Little League baseball and joining the Boy Scouts of America during his high school years in Troop 2, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Kirk became an avid sportsman enjoying archery, hunting and fishing. His love of the outdoors continued as he became a father, Kirk made sure to pass on his passion as he coached his sons’ Little League teams and taught them to love the outdoors. Kirk had a decorated career in construction and left a piece of him everywhere he traveled.
Kirk was a very humble, loving, caring man and his memory will continue to live within our hearts as he will be missed by all that knew him. The world lost a loved one, but heaven gained a hero.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27 at 11972 Creek Gate Road in Conroe, Texas from 1-5 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 20 at 1 p.m., Shain Memorial (Ash Hill) Cemetery 28-56 County Road 627, Fisk, Missouri, 63940.
