William Ernest Powell ‘Ernie’, son of Bonnie Ann (Renner) Powell and the late Ernest Junior Powell, was born August 7, 1967 in Oak Park, Illinois and departed this life on March 7, 2021 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He had attained the age of fifty-three years and seven months.

Ernie had resided in Ellsinore, Missouri for most of his life. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed working, hunting, fishing and drinking his Miller Lite. His most enjoyable time spent was with his family and his grandbabies. Ernie was one of a kind. He was generous, good hearted, always putting others first and was a loyal friend.

On October 3, 2020, he was united in marriage to Becky Rees in Ellsinore.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Powell of Ellsinore; two sons, Coleton Powell and wife, Jordan of Ellsinore and Conner Powell of Ellsinore; stepson, Dustin Mikel of Poplar Bluff; stepdaughter, Hailey Troutt of Poplar Bluff; three sisters, Rebecca Moore and husband, Robert of Doniphan; Denise Strickland and husband, Michael of Springfield and Debra Qualls and husband, Jamie of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren, Lennon, Bazz, Ava, Aubree and Marley and many nieces, nephews and family and friends who mourn his passing.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10 at 11 a.m. in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. John Crowley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
