Donald ‘Larry’ Acre Sr., age 82, of Broseley, Missouri, died Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Hunter Acres Care Center in Sikeston, Missouri. Mr. Acre was born May 1, 1938 in Orange, California, son of the late Curtis and Lucille (Alexander) Acre.
On March 1, 1958 he married Shirley Medlin. She survives.
He is also survived by three sons, Barney Acre (Kelli) of Williamsville, Missouri, Larry (Kara) Acre Jr. of Benton, Missouri and Terry (Cheryl) Acre of Fisk, Missouri; five grandchildren, Mark (Stephanie) Acre, Aaron (Christy) Acre, Todd (Julie) Acre, Christen (Charles) Kinsey and Casey (Jerry) Wills; 14 great-grandchildren and one sister, Sue (Floyd) Bell of Broseley.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Acre and one sister, Sondra (Acre) Black.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 7 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 8 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wayne Burchett and Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley.
